André Robinson

André Robinson is a Community and Cultural Organizer, activist and leadership consultant with a background as a director, producer, writer, and creative place-maker. He has devoted his life’s work to the implementation of and advocacy for inclusive revitalization engagement and smart growth and has been a proud associate of Peer Advocates Training and Consulting since 2021.

 

For more than 40 years, Mr. Robinson has worked in community talent, and cultural development, racial equity training, board and organizational capacity building, and civic engagement. He is also a Conflict Mediator certified by Community Boards of San Francisco. He has served in executive and creative leadership capacity for film, TV, music, conférences, podcasts, special events and cultural activations both nationally and internationally.

 

Mr. Robinson’s current project – building broad networks of community development around Baltimore City – has expanded to real estate development, incubation of green tech industries, workforce and business development, diversity adoption training, and creative place-making while serving the expansion of conscious communities everywhere. He served as Consultant to the Baltimore Department of Housing and Community Development for the Community Catalyst Grant Program, DEI & Programming Consultant to Iona Concepts, LLC, City Life Community Builders, and the East Baltimore Historical Library, among others.

 

Although Mr. Robinson continues to work across the country, his home base of Baltimore, MD, serves as the platform for his neighborhood and network revitalization projects. Recent initiatives include Innovation Villages: Baltimore, Historic Marble Hill Neighborhood Association, Westside Renaissance Partners, Westport Economic Community Development Corporation, Beloved Community Center (NC) and the Social Determinants of Heath Taskforce for the State of Maryland. He is Co-Founder and CEO of Radius:Baltimore.

 

Mr. Robinson is executive producer for Carbon Fibre Media, a graphical content and creative studio shop based in Bed-Sty, Brooklyn NY and has been central to many cultural initiatives and companies including Belafonte Enterprises (NY), The Black Filmmaker Foundation, My Image Studios (NY), Goodfellas of Baltimore (Fox 45), Sony Music, Roger Furman Theater The Harlem Week Festival and the Harlem Music Festivals for the Greater Harlem, Walt Disney Interactive and Disney Online (North Hollywood), and New Jersey's Crossroads Theatre Company. 

 

Mr. Robinson is a principal in Agroteva, an urban farming initiative based in Houston, TX.
